Here’s how it works in simple terms:

Our formula uses a powerful natural combo:

  • Vinegar (acetic acid) which lowers the pH and breaks down mould at the surface level.
  • Clove oil (eugenol) — one of nature’s strongest antifungals. It disrupts mould cell walls and helps stop spores from spreading.
  • Tea tree, lemon myrtle, and other essential oils that support the clove oil and add extra protection.

Together, they don’t just mask the problem — they actively fight mould and help prevent it from coming back quickly.

Realistic Expectations

  • Great for daily prevention and light-to-moderate mould.
  • Effective on tough mould when you let it sit longer (15–30 minutes) and use the baking soda paste method.

Our formula contains vinegar (5% acetic acid) plus carefully selected essential oils including clove, lemon myrtle, and eucalyptus, as well as plant based surfactant and emulsifiers.

Is it safe to use around children and pets?

Our products are designed as a plant-based alternative to harsh chemical cleaners. As with any cleaning product, we recommend keeping out of reach of children and pets and using in well-ventilated areas.

Can I use it every day?

Yes. Nana’s Anti-Mould Solution can be used both as a mould treatment spray and as a regular preventative spray in damp-prone areas.

Can the product be used on any surface?

Avoid using the product on natural stone (marble, limestone, granite), polished (or unsealed) wood as the vinegar in the anti-mould solutioncan damage and discolour the surface.  Use caution with wrought iron/metal, matte/flat paint, unsealed grout and aluminium. 

The product is generally safe to use on:

  • glazed ceramic tiles
  • porcelain
  • sealed grout
  • acrylic/fibreglass showers (test first)
  • most modern painted surfaces.

  • Always tests first - spray a small, hidden area and wait 10-15 minutes
  • Don't let it sit too long on known sensitive surfaces
